Yoga East Music, Mantra and Meditation February 27 12p
February 27 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
The word mantra comes from the Sanskrit word “manas” which means “mind”. In Hinduism and Buddhism, mantras are used as tools to train the mind. By chanting Sanskrit or Tibetan syllables, we are training our mind to stay focused, while at the same time elevating our energetic frequency.
For this class, we will implement chanting, pranyama and visualization alongside music and ancient mantras. Chant along and feel free to just take in the vibrations as the room fills with the sound of the harmonium and collective voice.
Chanting mantras with Sarah was a profoundly beautiful experience. Being surrounded by the vibrations of chanting and music of the bina created a lasting energy in my body, uplifting and energizing me as I started the New Year. This was a wonderful practice – one in which I look forward to participating again soon! – Sherri
